What is the difference between PEO and EOR?

An employer of record can hire people in other countries for you without you having to set up a business in that country.

  • PEOs require you to have your own legal entity in the country or region where you do business.
  • EORs and PEOs both handle HR tasks like payroll, benefits, tax deductions and reporting and so on.
  • On paper, an EOR is legally accountable for your employees. With a PEO, your company, your employee and your PEO all work together as one team.
